Beginners should resist the marketing on "power" paddles; control wins more points at every level below open play. Shoes: the most skipped essential
Running shoes are the most common injury shortcut in UK pickleball. Court shoes — tennis, badminton or dedicated pickleball models — are built for lateral movement, and the difference is immediate. If you play twice a week or more, this is a non-negotiable before any paddle upgrade.

Balls
