Third Shot retail expansion feels surreal to write about. A couple of months ago, this was just two normal lads from Yorkshire sketching ideas, arguing over fabric weights, and obsessing about paddle design. Now our products sit on the retail walls of Peak Pickleball in Sheffield, Salus Padel in Bradford, and our brand has gone live with its first online retailer, PickleballHubUK.com.
For a young brand built from late nights, group chats, and stubborn belief, this is the start of something that feels much bigger than us.
How it began
We didn’t have a big team, a warehouse, or a marketing department. We had a simple idea: create clean, modern sportswear and paddles that actually feel good to use and look good to wear. We wanted a brand that played well on court but also felt at home in everyday life.
The first samples arrived in boxes in the living room. The first hoodies were tested in real games in Sheffield. Every decision—stitching, embroidery size, paddle grip texture—came from actual play, not guesswork. That early graft shaped everything.
Seeing people wear our kit or play with our paddles felt unreal. Then came the first messages from players saying they loved the look and feel of the gear. That’s when it started to click: this might actually go somewhere.
Now we’re here: three retail partners before our first full season
To finish 2025 with three retailers supporting a brand that’s still only weeks old is something we never expected. It’s proof that the community sees the same potential we do.
Peak Pickleball, Sheffield
Peak was the first venue to give us a shot. They’ve built a brilliant set-up, proper courts, a strong community, and a passionate team. Walking into their shop and seeing Third Shot on the wall was a moment we won’t forget.
Players can now:
-
Try on gear for fit and comfort
- Get real advice from people who live and breathe the game
For a Sheffield brand, having a presence in the city where so much of our testing happened feels right.
Salus Padel, Bradford
Salus Padel brought a different energy from day one. They’ve built one of the North’s most exciting padel environments—serious players, quality courts, and a retail fit-out that looks the part.
When we visited and saw Third Shot hanging beside top padel brands, it hit us: we’re no longer just starting out. We’re actually part of the ecosystem.
Our apparel now sit on their retail wall, giving West Yorkshire players chance to get hands-on with the brand. It’s another step forward for Third Shot and a sign of how padel and pickleball communities overlap more than people realise.
PickleballHubUK.com (Online)
Getting stocked by Pickleball Hub UK is massive for us. They’re a respected retailer and a trusted name for competitive and everyday players.
Going live on their site means:
- Nationwide visibility
- Accessible ordering for anyone outside Yorkshire
- A proper online retail partner representing Third Shot in the right way
It’s the first step in building our online availability beyond our own channels.
Why this moment matters
You can look at the retail expansion and see shelves, websites, and stock. For us it’s different. It feels like confirmation that two ordinary blokes with an idea weren’t daft for trying.
We’re building this brand from the ground up. No shortcuts. No investors telling us to change direction. No inflated claims. Just steady graft, good design, and a belief that British sportswear should feel current—simple, understated, and made with intent.
These partnerships give us something bigger:
- Real community exposure
- Real feedback
- Real players wearing and testing our products
That’s the fuel that will help us improve every drop, every stitch, and every paddle we bring out.
Looking ahead
This isn’t the end point. It’s the start line.
More retail opportunities are already in the pipeline. More athletes are joining the Third Shot family. And more products are on the way, made with the same detail and pride as the first samples in the living room.
We’re grateful to everyone who’s supported us, shared posts, bought gear, or even just stopped us to say they like what we’re doing. It keeps us moving.
For now, we’re celebrating this milestone.
Two normal lads. Three retail partners.
And the start of something that feels genuinely exciting.
